Based at 109 Alfred Gelder Street, right in the heart of the Old Town, we’re a fully independent, Grade II listed pub that’s been serving the city since 1904. Overlooking Hull Minster and just a stone’s throw from the historic docks, we’ve seen Hull grow, change, and celebrate for well over a century.
What hasn’t changed is how we do things.
We’ve always believed in doing it properly – no contracts, no brand tie-ins, no being told what to pour. That independence means everything we stock, whether behind the bar or in our shop, is chosen by us for one simple reason: it’s worth drinking.
Our online shop is a natural extension of that. The same care we put into our cask lines and fridges now goes into a handpicked selection of specialist craft beer from the UK, the USA, and across Europe. From hard-to-find imports to some of the best breweries Britain has to offer, this is the beer we’d proudly serve in the pub – now available to enjoy wherever you are.
